Lynda Villastrigo, President

Lynda Villastrigo brought her many years of accounting, bookkeeping and Human Resource experience to partner with two registered nurses in organizing Medical Interest in March of 1988. The partnership established a new company that distributed specific specialty supplies to Government Hospitals and the growing Rehab-Facility market in general.

In 1993 Lynda became the Owner and President of Medical Interest, Inc., a Woman-Owned Corporation that had grown and gone through various changes in product line and focus based on the changing market demands.

As President of Medical Interest Inc., Lynda’s authority and responsibilities include directing the organization’s on-going operations, maintaining the liaisons between the governing body, owner and personnel. She manages all areas of Finance and Budget as well as HR functions and issues. 

Lynda's business savvy and dedication has long served as the cornerstone of the organization and her foresight and level handed approach continues to reflect in the growth of the organization.

 

Armando Borbon, VP of Operations

Armando began his medical career shortly after joining the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman in 1990. For 10 years, Armando served his country with pride as a Combat Medic with the US Fleet Marine Force while continuing his education; specializing in Advanced Surgical Techniques, Combat Trauma Care, and Nursing. During his service, Armando received several awards including Navy Achievement Medals and Letters of Commendation for his service while attached to Marine and Naval Units. After his service, Armando worked with the largest ENT practice in San Antonio, TX as a Nurse and a Surgical First Assistant. In 2003, Armando joined the American Red Cross Transplantation Services, at the time the largest Human Tissue Bank in the country, earning his Certification as a Tissue Banking Specialist and managing the San Antonio area Division. Armando continued his work in Tissue Banking with the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center as the Hospital Development and Sales/Marketing Manager which saw exponential growth during his tenure both regionally and nationally.  In 2010, Armando was recruited by QualTex Laboratories, the largest Source Plasma testing facility in the country, to aid in the development and marketing of a Cadaveric Testing line.  Armando was instrumental in bringing these testing lines to market within his first year of employment and these lines continue to grow and service Tissue Banks throughout the country.  As the VP of Operations for Medical Interest, Inc., Armando brings his years of extensive experience in development and marketing to continue expansion of the brand in Spinal Hardware, Instrumentation, and Biologics.
